About Louis Gendron

"Dr Louis Gendron, PhD is tenured Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacology-Physiology at the Université de Sherbrooke. He has 20+ years of experience in in vitro and in vivo GPCR pharmacology and has published seminal papers where he used various approaches to describe the role of opioid receptors in pain and anagesia as well as to study the mechanisms involved in the cellular trafficking of the delta opioid receptor. Recently, his group reported the first in vivo GPCR interactome, revealing an important number of new potential proteins interacting with GPCRs. Dr Gendron is co-director of the FRQS-funded Quebec Pain Research Network and the Editor-in-Chief in the journal Progress in Neuro-Psychopharmacology & Biological Psychiatry."
