Dr. Shivani Sachdev

About Dr. Shivani Sachdev

"Dr. Sachdev is an early career researcher in the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. Her research centers on developing nanobody-ligand conjugates to target GPCRs, with a focus on receptors relevant for treating osteoporosis, diabetes, and pain. She received her undergraduate degree in Biotechnology from KIIT University in India. She subsequently joined Professor Mark Connor's laboratory at Macquarie University in Australia. Dr. Sachdev pursued Ph.D. in the same lab where she investigated the molecular pharmacology of cannabinoid receptors. She is also very active within the pharmacology community and currently serves on the editorial board of the British Journal of Pharmacology. Given her expertise in GPCR pharmacology and scientific communication, she is poised to make valuable contributions to the field and expand our understanding of GPCR signaling."
