Pharmacology clarity for high-stakes discovery decisions

Misinterpreting pharmacology does not just weaken analysis. It can misdirect experiments, distort strategy, and increase program risk.

Terry’s Corner gives Premium members direct access to Terry Kenakin’s pharmacology frameworks to help scientists interpret data more rigorously and make better discovery decisions.

Learn What Drug Hunters Actually Use

Sharpen Your Pharmacology Thinking

Drug discovery rarely fails from lack of data.
It fails when pharmacology is interpreted too loosely.

Terry’s Corner helps scientists interpret pharmacology with greater rigor—from core receptor theory to the advanced concepts shaping modern discovery.

1

Navigate Advanced Pharmacology

Explore the complex pharmacology shaping modern drug discovery.

• Allosteric modulation and signaling bias

• Residence time and kinetic pharmacology

• Translational PK/PD and MoA mapping

Learn how experienced pharmacologists interpret difficult data.

2

Apply Pharmacology to Discovery

See how pharmacological interpretation influences real program decisions.

• Translate data into discovery strategy

• Selectivity, ADME, and early safety signals

• Connecting models to real outcomes

Better interpretation leads to better experiments.

3

Strengthen Your Foundations

Revisit the pharmacological principles that shape how data is interpreted.

• Dose–response and agonism

• Binding, bias, and kinetics

• Core pharmacological models

Build the mechanistic clarity every discovery program depends on.

Meet Dr. Terry Kenakin
- The Pharmacologist Behind the Corner

With more than four decades in pharmacology and drug discovery, Dr. Terry Kenakin has helped shape how scientists understand receptor theory, efficacy, and signaling.

His work spans 250+ peer-reviewed publications, influential books on pharmacology, and decades of leadership in pharmaceutical R&D at Burroughs-Wellcome and GlaxoSmithKline.

After earning his PhD at the University of Alberta, Terry trained under Nobel Laureate Sir James Black at University College London, an experience that shaped his lifelong focus on connecting chemistry, biology, and pharmacological thinking.

Today, Terry continues to teach at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, advancing the field through work on allosteric modulation, receptor theory, and translational pharmacology.

Terry’s Corner is where scientists learn how an experienced pharmacologist interprets complex data.
